About me
Meet Jason
I’m a Mechanical Engineer working in the Traverso Lab at MIT where we are developing translational drug delivery and physiological sensing systems. I graduated from Northeastern University in 2024 with a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a minor in Aerospace Engineering. In my free time, I enjoy playing or arranging music, weightlifting, and watching sports!
WORK EXPERIENCE
Laboratory for Translational Engineering, MIT
I am currently a research engineer in the Traverso Lab at MIT. I have been working in the group since July of 2024. In the lab, I fabricate and assemble novel drug delivery devices using a variety of additive and subtractive techniques. Additionally, I manage and maintain 20+ pieces of equipment in our lab’s fabrication spaces.
Mercury Systems
I was a Mechanical Engineering Co-op for Mercury Systems July through December of 2023. I completed various tolerance and material compatibility analyses and updated tolerance schemes to be compatible with GD&T standards. Additionally, I troubleshooted issues with board assembly by analyzing 3D scans and SolidWorks models to determine the root causes.
Keurig DR Pepper
I was a Mechanical Test and Reliability Engineer Co-op for Keurig Dr Pepper from June through December of 2022. I served as the project manager to establish a new system to monitor lab conditions and prevent flooding. Also, I designed several parts and fixtures in SolidWorks, assisted other engineers by compilizing and analyzing test results, and created templates to standardize the way test results are reported.
